TitelOnderzoeksstudie van de optimalisatie van het nautisch keten naar de haven van Antwerpen
Etude du port d’Anvers pour des recherches d’optimisation de la chaine nautique
Onderwerp

The aim of this project is to study and offer guidelines for improvement of the efficiency of the nautical part of the supply chain towards the port of Antwerp. This study will be performed in collaboration with (and based on data supplied by) the Port Authorities of  Antwerp. In this study we will perform process mining on a dataset delivered by the Port of Antwerp. Based on the information obtained, we will build a discrete-event simulation model to determine the optimal way in which the nautical supply chain towards the port of Antwerp can be organized.

The project will be done in several parts and is part of the research project 'BOF academisation project period 2019-2021.

Minimalisation of the delay made by the different nautical partners towards and from the Antwerp Harbor will studied. Stochastic methods for minimalsation will be studied.

Duration of the project is 3 years from Oct 2018.
