In the SOCORRO project, we analyse the effect of several environmental parameters on different steel types, both in a lab setup and in industrial demonstrations. In this thesis, we will focus on one specific steel type with a limited range of maritime applications: corosion resistant steel of the 316L type, both on literature data and in lab tests.
