In this digital world, every piece of information is within reach. So why are seafarers still using outdated data regarding ocean currents? The aim of this thesis is to provide up-to-date material about ocean currents by means of satellites. Afterwards, there is the possibility of calculating the time gain on a journey while using satellite information.
