The conversion of a merchant navy vessel to FLNG focuses the dissertation on the critical stability phases during the change of function. Analysing the structural adjustments required to maintain the ship's equilibrium in the face of the new load constraints, studying the modifications needed to ensure operational and safety stability during gas liquefaction, and proposing innovative solutions to preserve structural stability throughout the conversion are the central points of this research.
