The rolling motions of ships are often regarded as undesirable but unavoidable motions. However, these motions contain unused energy that could be exploited from an economic and ecological point of view. The aim of this thesis is to design one or more efficient conversion devices that convert rolling motions into electricity, and then to model and simulate the behaviour of these transducers in order to compare them.
