This subject is a comparative study of  wave tank tests and numerical simulations using CFD, in a context where the technology has reached an advanced level of maturity, making it possible to obtain very accurate results that are close to reality. We will examine the limitations of these two methods from different angles (speed, accuracy, cost, reliability, etc.), with particular emphasis on the ecological impact of these techniques for measuring scale models on the environment.
